User-facing analytics and data visualization dashboards have become important tools in online and blended learning courses, communicating feedback on student participation as well as prompting metacognitive reflection. This project reports on pilot usage of one such tool, called the Impact Studio, a new LTI application connected to the SuiteC collaborative learning system. The Impact Studio visualizes social learning data captured from student participation in the SuiteC Asset Library, Whiteboards, and Canvas Discussions. Using an ‘Impact’ metric, the Impact Studio reports to students both their contributions to the learning community, and how those contributions have been taken up by other learners.
